New Armenia-Azerbaijan Clashes Kill 200 Soldiers
The report is the latest update from Armenia and Azerbaijan on Friday (16/9/2022), as reported by Reuters.
Both Armenia and Azerbaijan blame each other for the latest clashes in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The clashes were the deadliest between Armenia and Azerbaijan since six weeks of fighting in 2020 that killed thousands of people.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said 135 Armenian personnel were killed. This number is more than the tally earlier this week of 105 personnel who died.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan reported that 77 of its personnel were killed, more than Thursday's tally of 71 people.
Both countries have stated that the death toll is likely to rise.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at war for decades over Nagorno-Karabakh.
The international community recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan.
But until 2020, most of Nagorno-Karabakh is inhabited and controlled by ethnic Armenians.
Armenia said Azerbaijani troops this week attacked and captured settlements inside Armenian territory, outside Nagorno-Karabakh.
On the other hand, Azerbaijan said it was responding to provocations from the Armenian side.
The two sides agreed to a ceasefire brokered by Russia, ending the fighting on Wednesday (14/9/2022) night.
However, the situation at the border remains tense.
